Policy Statement : Anti-Child Labour
At Csatrina Holdings Ltd, we strongly condemn all forms of child labour and recognize the importance of protecting the rights, welfare, and future of every child. We believe that childhood is a sacred and vital phase of life, which should be nurtured, developed, and supported in every possible way.
Our organization is committed to promoting and upholding the following principles as part of our Anti-Child Labour Policy :
- Zero Tolerance : We adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards child labour in all its forms. We will neither directly nor indirectly facilitate or support any activities that exploit children or violate child labour laws.
- Compliance : We will abide by all local, national, and international laws regarding child labour, including but not limited to International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and standards.
- Age Verification : We will implement rigorous age verification procedures to ensure that no child under the legal working age is employed within our organization, its supply chains, or any contracted services or activities we undertake.
- Supply Chain Due Diligence : We will conduct thorough due diligence within our supply chains to verify that our suppliers and business partners are likewise committed to combating child labour and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
- Education and Awareness : We will actively promote education and awareness programs to inform our employees, stakeholders, and the wider community about the hazards and consequences of child labour. We will work to raise awareness and advocate for the eradication of this issue.
- Support for Vulnerable Communities : We will actively engage with and support vulnerable communities to alleviate poverty, improve access to quality education, and create opportunities for adults, thereby reducing the economic pressures that may lead to child labour.
- Monitoring and Reporting Systems : We will establish robust monitoring and reporting systems to ensure compliance with our Anti-Child Labour Policy. Any instances of child labour identified within our organization or supply chains will be immediately addressed, and appropriate remedial actions will be taken.
- Collaboration and Advocacy : We will collaborate with relevant organizations, NGOs, and industry partners to advocate for stronger legislation, policies, and practices to combat child labour at local, national, and international levels.
- Continuous Improvement : We are committed to continually reviewing and improving our Anti-Child Labour Policy and related practices, striving for excellence in eradicating child labour and creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.
We believe that by championing this Anti-Child Labour Policy, we can play a pivotal role in advancing the cause of child protection, empowering children to access their basic rights, and contributing to building a more just and equitable society.
